Job Title: Controller
Job Type: Full-Time (Remote)
ARMRA Schedule: Monday-Friday, 9 am-6 pm EST
About ARMRA: ARMRA® was born from a near-fatal health crisis that forced its Founder & CEO, Dr. Sarah Rahal, to uncover what modern life has stolen. As a pediatric neurologist, she turned to exhaustive research and ancient wisdom to find a solution—not just for herself, but for the growing health crisis affecting us all. Your body isn’t broken—it’s brilliantly designed for strength, resilience, and vitality. But the modern world scrambles the signal, disconnecting you from the intelligence encoded within. ARMRA Colostrum™ is nature’s original blueprint with 400+ bioactive nutrients that restore what modern life strips away. It works at the cellular level to remind your body of its original code and reawaken its innate intelligence—so you can reclaim your birthright to thrive.

About the Role: We are seeking a highly skilled, entrepreneurial Controller to own ARMRA’s accounting, treasury, and compliance operations end-to-end. Reporting directly to the CFO, this role is responsible for the accuracy, integrity, and timeliness of the company’s financial records — including monthly close, treasury and cash operations, accounts payable, and inventory accounting — while directly managing our relationships with external auditors and tax advisors. This is a hands-on, build-it-yourself seat for someone who is energized by scaling finance infrastructure inside a high-growth CPG / eCommerce business, thrives in ambiguity, and takes full ownership of outcomes rather than waiting to be told what to do.
Key Responsibilities
- Own the monthly, quarterly, and year-end close, including general ledger management, account reconciliations, and preparation of financial statements in accordance with GAAP.
- Manage day-to-day treasury operations — cash positioning, bank account administration, cash flow forecasting, and banking relationships.
- Oversee accounts payable end-to-end, including vendor payments, corporate card administration (Brex), and expense policy compliance.
- Own inventory accounting — standard costing, cycle-count reconciliation, inventory valuation, and COGS accuracy — in close partnership with Operations and Supply Chain.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for external auditors, owning the annual audit process from PBC list through fieldwork to final sign-off.
- Manage the relationship with external tax advisors, ensuring timely and accurate federal, state, and local income, sales, and use tax filings.
- Maintain and continuously improve financial systems (primarily NetSuite), ensuring data integrity, process automation, and scalability as the business grows.
- Partner cross-functionally with Operations, Sales, and Marketing to ensure accurate revenue recognition, accrual accounting, and expense matching.
- Support the CFO with close reporting, board materials, and ad hoc financial analysis.
- Design, implement, and continuously strengthen internal controls, policies, and processes to support scale and audit readiness.
Skills & Qualifications
- 7–10+ years of progressive accounting experience, including direct ownership of treasury, AP, and inventory functions — preferably in eCommerce, wholesale, or CPG.
- Advanced proficiency in NetSuite required; experience with QuickBooks and Brex strongly preferred.
- Direct experience managing external audit relationships and coordinating with outside tax advisors.
- Strong working knowledge of US GAAP, including inventory and COGS accounting for a physical product business.
- Demonstrated entrepreneurial mindset — a self-starter who takes ownership, operates effectively in ambiguity, and builds process rather than waiting for it.
- Proven track record in a high-growth or startup environment, ideally one that has scaled through an inflection point (e.g., first audit, ERP migration, rapid headcount growth).
- Exceptional analytical skills, with the ability to translate financial data into clear, actionable insight for leadership.
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and organizational skills; comfortable operating on a lean team and wearing multiple hats.
- High attention to detail, with the ability to manage competing priorities and deadlines independently.
- CPA strongly preferred, given ownership of the audit relationship.
